10, 2007) - The 2008 UC Riverside Highlander baseball team
beat the UCR Alumni 12-6 in annual event held at the UCR Baseball
Complex, Saturday afternoon.
Senior Aaron Wible picked up a two-run double and sophomore
Bryan Horst added a two-run single as the current squad used
an eight-run fifth inning to pick up the win.
The Alumni had a 4-0 lead heading into that fifth inning but
a series of errors and hits by the current Highlanders proved
to be too much. Brian Emmons hit two doubles for the Alumni
squad.
The defending Big West Champion Highlanders open their 2008
season with a four-game series at the UCR Baseball Complex
on February 22-25 against the University of Washington.
