Personal: Joseph William Kelly, Junior, was born on June 9, 1988, in Anaheim, CA… son of Joseph Kelly and Andrea Valencia… father played football at Vanderbilt University and for the San Diego Chargers… nickname is “JK”… distant relative of notorious gangster “Machine Gun” Kelly… has chosen criminal justice as his major… roots for the Oakland A’s, San Diego Chargers, and Phoenix Suns… favorite athletes are LaDainian Tomlinson, Jermaine Dye, and Amare Stoudemire… favorite writers are C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Emily Dickenson… enjoys reading the “Chronicles of Narnia” and “Lord of the Rings” series… favorite foods are Italian and Mexican… watches Chappelle’s Show and SportsCenter on TV… favorite movies are “Tombstone” and “Crash”… listens to the music of Senses Fail… hobbies include skateboarding, playing basketball, and learning Spanish… most memorable sports moment was hitting nine home runs in All-Star play… biggest influence has been his father, who pushed him and helped him work on getting better.
