(Oct. 24, 2007) -The UC
Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team was picked to
finish in ninth place in both the coaches and media polls
announced at Big West Media Day in Irvine, CA.
The Highlanders received
34 points in the media poll and 11 points in the coaches poll
after finishing last season with a 7-24 overall record. UC
Santa Barbara was placed at the top of both polls.
UCR begins their 2007-08
season with new Head Coach Jim Wooldridge on November 10th
against Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX.
