(June
15, 2007) - Poway HS graduate Daniel Brainard has signed a
national letter of intent to play men's golf at UC Riverside,
Head Coach Paul Hjulberg announced.
Brainard
was a four-year letterwinner for Head Coach Bob Champion at
Poway HS. In 2007 he finished 19th in the Palomar league as
an individual. He was the team captain in 2007.
"Daniel
knows how to play the game right and I think has a great future
ahead of him," Hjulberg said.
Brainard
competed in the PGA or Southern California Tournament in 2006,
finishing 30th at 157. At Rancho Bernardo, he was 15th with
a total of 155.
