2007: Appeared in 40 games, making 24 starts... posted a .267 batting average with two home runs and eight RBI... recorded two doubles and scored 19 runs... went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI against St. Mary’s (2/25/07)... went 1-for-3 with a homer against #3 Arizona State (2/18/07).

Occidental College: Played one year for Coach Amber Grahlman... hit .296 with three doubles, a triple, a homer and 19 runs scored... named Second-Team All-SCIAC at shortstop... named the Tigers’ best defensive player.

High School: Was a four-year letterwinner at Perris HS, playing for Coaches Mark Lucker and Elizabeth McCarthy... helped her team to CIF appearances as a junior and a senior... named First-Team All-Sunbelt League, Perris HS Student-Athlete of the Year and All-CIF Honorable Mention as a senior in 2005... also earned All-Sunbelt League first team honors in 2003 and 2005 and second team honors in 2002 and 2004... was Riverside County’s top hitter with a .377 average in 2003... class valedictorian.

Personal: Tiana Marie Towns was born August 16, 1987 in Inglewood, CA... parents are Darryl and Tammy Towns... has not declared a major... hopes to become a personal trainer and own a gym... roots for the Anaheim Angels... favorite athletes are Andrea Duran, Natasha Watley and Michael Vick... favorite novels are “Blue Like Jazz” and “Atlas Shrugged”... favorite foods are macaroni and cheese, Red Vines and Mexican food... enjoys watching Girlfriends, Sex and the City, Who’s Wedding is it Anyway, and CSI... favorite films are “Love & Basketball”, “Coach Carter” and “Mean Girls”... enjoys listening to the music of Black Star, Common and Lauryn Hill... hobbies include reading, shopping and going to the beach.
