(Nov. 3, 2007) – A
night after suffering a loss to Pacific, the Highlanders (6-17,
2-10) defeated UC Davis (3-22, 0-13) by a 3-0 score in Davis,
Calif.
UCR played well in both
facets of the game. Dominique Cowling and Angie Mitchell led
the team with 15 kills apiece, and Mitchell hit a sizzling
.406 in the match. On defense, Kelly Quinn got in on five
of the teams nine blocks for the evening.
Three different Highlanders
recorded double-digit digs led by Kimberly McNeal’s
13. Cowling had 10, giving her six double-doubles this season.
UCR returns to Riverside
for their final homestand of the season as they host Cal State
Fullerton this Friday Nov. 9th and then Cal Poly a night later.
Both matches are set to start at 7:00 p.m. in the Student
Recreation Center.
