2006: Played in 67 games... appeared in 25 matches, starting one... had 0.01 kills and 2.73 digs per game, appearing primarily as the libero in the second half of the season... was third on the team in digs in conference play with 112... had 31 assists and five aces... had six points, an average of 0.09 per game... had a career-high 18 digs vs. CS Northridge (10/14/06)... had 17 digs vs. Syracuse (9/8/06)... had 16 digs vs. UC Santa Barbara (11/3/06)... had six assists at New Mexico (8/26/06).
High School: Was a four-year varsity letterwinner in volleyball for Coach Nathan Jones... earned First Team All-Ocean League Honors as a junior and a senior, also earning team MVP honors both seasons... helped her team to the second round of the CIF in 2003 and 2005... named all-tournament at the 2005 North High Tournament... also played softball, earning four letters... was first team all-league as a junior... selected second-team All-Area by the South Bay Daily Breeze, and second team All-Region by the Los Angeles Times.
Personal: Amanda Nicole Nilsson is the daughter of Steve and Debbie Nilsson... major is undeclared... roots for the Los Angeles Dodgers... enjoys eating Mexican food and pizza... favorite television shows are C.S.I. and Grey’s Anatomy... favorite movies are “Sixteen Candles”, “The Sandlot” and “Pirates of the Caribbean”... hobbies include scrapbooking, watching movies and dancing... uncle Richard Bankson played volleyball at UCLA.
