Women’s Golf Tied For Second After First Round At Matador Invite

First Round Results

(Apr. 7, 2008) – The UC Riverside Women’s Golf team finished in a tie for second after the first round of play at the Matador Spring Invitational Monday afternoon. Jennifer Bermingham led UCR with a first-round score of 75 to finish the day in a tie for first.

The Highlanders put up a team score of 312 to tie Cal Poly as both teams finished two shots back of first place Portland (310). Also for the UCR, Ashlee Yee (77) finished the day in a tie for ninth, Ali Erdman (79) ended the round in a tie for 12th, and Allison Ek (81) and Michelle Manix (88) will enter Tuesday’s second and final round in the 21st and 50th, respectively.

Bermingham was joined by Kristin Howell (Portland) and Hannah Brabb (Cal Poly) who also shot opening rounds of 75 to share the lead heading into the final round.
