UC Riverside Earns ITA All-Academic Team Award
(August 17, 2008) - The UC Riverside Women’s Tennis
Team was honored recently by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association
with the ITA All-Academic Team Award given to teams that finish
the academic year with a grade point average of 3.2 or above.
In addition, five individual players - Alexandra Khoury, Donna
McCullough, Erynne Oki, Nadia Sakhakorn and Yasaman Sakhakorn
- received ITA Scholar-Athlete Awards give to those tennis
players who earn a GPA of 3.5 or above for the most recently
completed academic year.
UC Riverside Awards Oki Co-Harper Scholar Athlete of the Year
(May 28, 2008) -Co-winners were named for the 2007-08 Harper
Scholar Athlete Award, given each year to a student-athlete
whose athletic and scholarly achievements are deemed most
outstanding, as Erynne Oki (women's tennis) and Danielle Evans
(track and field) shared the honors. Oki, a junior business
administration major from Valley Village, CA, was named to
the All-Big West First Team in Singles and Second Team in
doubles. Her 31 combined wins this season set a UCR school
record.
Oki and Espiritu Earn All-Conference Honors
(April 29, 2008) -UC Riverside’s Women Tennis players
Erynne Oki and H.R. Espiritu received Big West All-Conference
honors Tuesday. Oki was named to the first team and the doubles
team of Oki and Espiritu earned second team honors.
Post-Season Run Ends in Quarterfinals
(April 25, 2008) - The UC Riverside Women's Tennis team came
to an end Friday morning after top-seeded Long Beach State
took the quarterfinal mathch-up 4-0 from the Highlanders.
UCR Wins In First Round at Big West Championships
(April 24, 2008) - The UC Riverside women’s tennis team
picked up a 5-0 first round win over Cal State Fullerton at
the Big West Championships in Indian Wells, CA Thursday afternoon.

(April 16, 2008) - The UC Riverside women's tennis team wrapped
up their regular season schedule by dropping a 7-0 decision
to #57 UC Irvine. Next up for the Highlanders are the The
Big West Championships slated for April 24-27.
Women's Tennis Drops Big West Match To Pacific, 6-1
(April 13, 2008) - The UC Riverside women's tennis team, trying to pick up
its second conference win of the season, fell to the University of Pacific
Sunday afternoon, 6-1. Regular season competition ends for the Highlanders
at UC Irvine on April 16 with The Big West Championship slated for April 24-27.

Riverside Women's Tennis Blanks Cal State Fullerton, 7-0
(April 9, 2008) - The UC Riverside women's tennis team
bounced back from two conference losses over the weekend to sweep Cal State
Fullerton, 7-0, on Wednesday afternoon. It was the first Big West win of
the season for the Highlanders who next host Pacific on April 13 before
finishing up conference play at UC Irvine on April 16. The Big West
Championship is slated for April 24-27.
UC Santa Barbara Tops Highlanders 7-0 in Women's Tennis
(Apr. 6, 2008) - The UC Riverside women's tennis
team, playing its second Big West match in as many days, lost a 7-
0 decision to UC Santa Barbara Sunday afternoon.

(Apr. 5, 2008) - The UC Riverside
women's tennis team dropped a Big West Conference meeting
with Cal State Northridge on Saturday, 5-2.

Dominates in Two Wins
(Mar. 15, 2008) - UC Riverside won
two dual matches, beating the University of Pittsburgh 6-1
and taking a 6-1 decision from Texas State University. The
Highlanders won 15 of the 18 match-ups to improve to 7-6 on
the season.

(Mar. 8, 2008) - UC Riverside dropped
a dual match with UC Davis 5-2 at the Student Recreational
Tennis Complex Saturday afternoon.

it's dual match with San Jose State 6-1 at the Student Recreational
Tennis Complex Friday afternoon.

Beats Occidental, Falls To Cal Poly
(Mar. 1, 2008) - UC Riverside picked
up a 7-0 win over Occidental on Friday but dropped a 7-0 decision
to #74 Cal Poly as five of the four of the singles matches
went three sets on Saturday.

(Feb. 18, 2008) - UC Riverside picked
up a 4-3 decision over Portland State on Friday but dropped
a 6-1 decision to the University of Portland on Saturday and

after she picked up a win in her #1 Singles match against

Gets #1 Singles Win But UCR Falls To SDSU
(Jan. 26, 2008) - The UC Riverside
Women’s Tennis team opened it’s Spring season
with a 6-1 loss to #49 San Diego State in San Diego, CA Saturday
afternoon. Junior Erynne Oki beat #61 Juliea Trunk to become
the first UCR player to beat a singles player ranked that
high since moving to Division I.

Signs Nadia Sakhakorn to NLI

Head Women's Tennis Coach Mark Henry brought a familiar name
into the fold with the signing of Saugus High School's Nadia
Sakhakorn to a National Letter of Intent. Sakhakorn is the
sister of current UCR sophomore tennis player Yasaman Sakhakorn.
